I PUSHED THE BUTTON.

You guys probably thought I had forgotten about this blog, right? I would have thought the same thing! Lol…no, it’s been on my mind… In fact, I wrote two other blog entries the past couple of weeks and never posted them. I have been quite the busy bee. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself…really, I’m just a perfectionist who needs to kick her own butt into gear sometimes.

Speaking of kicking my own butt into gear, I made a split second decision last night (actually it was overly thought out)…at 12:30 pm. There was a $200 off deal that I knew was ending yesterday on 7/14, and I kept going back and forth on whether or not I should actually move forward with it. $200 off is a pretty sweet discount. That’s 2-4 weeks worth of groceries for me (depending on how hungry I get!)!! Well, my over-analyzing self decided I better sleep on it… -_- I thought, “I’ll just buy it at the regular price later”, after I “think” about it some more…LAWD. So after already going to bed and having trouble sleeping, likely due to the energy drink I had between 6 and 7 pm (dumb), I sat straight up, switched the light on, immediately grabbed my credit card, and pushed the dang BUY button. (Yes, I still got the discount. #winning)

Sometimes pushing the button is all it takes. Taking one step. Making one decision. And now, I’ve forced myself to get moving in the direction I’ve wanted to go for a very long time. So I bet you’re wondering what I bought…

SPECIFIC GOAL 1 (as promised in my first entry): Get a Personal Training Certificate. (Broad goal: Add value to the lives of others while simultaneously building the life I want to live.)

Specific – Get a Personal Training Certificate.
Measurable – I will consider the goal met when I pass the test and am granted my certificate.
Attainable – I will study the materials sent by ACE, supplement by studying from a book or two of my own as suggested, and search for a CPR training course.
Relevant – Getting this certificate will open up opportunities for me and the life I would like for myself.
Time-Based – I have 6 months to complete the test. I would like to do this by the end of the year. That means…complete it in 5 months, by the end of December 2017.

Okay okay okay…so, I purchased the ACE Personal Training program to get my certificate…..…!!! :)))

Yes, there is a lot to learn. No, it won’t be easy. Yes, I’ll probably be uncomfortable. But, you never know unless you try.

PUSH THE DANG BUTTON!

Thanks for reading! I’ll keep you updated on how this goes down. 🙂

  1. That’s great news and so funny because Alex wants to be a Personal Trainer as well. The guys at LT were telling him to try to get NASM certified but he hasn’t “pushed the button” yet. He should study with you. He needs all the good influences he can get at this point in his life. You’re Awesome!😘
